D.C.'s The Flash (tv series)

Crossover was meh.

Vandal Savage is definitely one of my favorite characters, and I appreciate the way he was played in the show. That being said, it all felt way too forced, like they decided to shoe horn this in as quickly as possible. The plot was definitely bumpy and the way they defeated him was just too campy for me. Let's go back in time and use team work.. But this time, black driver, not Sara, and druggy will be there!" Because they help so much....

As for Malcolm taking the ashes.... If he Lazarus pits his ashes..I quit. Just no.

Agreed, Mr. Mold Maker. I don't know how Vandal Savage will be revived (and he obviously will be considering he's the main villain in LOD) but if its the Lazarus Pit, the pit will have become the biggest Deus Ex Machina in the series.

The crossover wasn't as good as the first one but when two of my favorite TV shows connect, I'm pretty happy!

Remember they poured bleach in the Lazarus pit and broke it

You're absolutely correct. I do vaguely remember that happening.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they'd Lazarus Pit the Lazarus Pit for plot convenience. :lol

"Cisco created a polymorphic hydrogenous compound that restored the Lazurus Pit..... But only for this episode.....

I like how arrow uses Cisco as a cop out all the time. Like when they introduced the new lair; Felicity was all like "Cisco made it"
Then she. Cisco finally shows up he's like "what's this ****?"

Cisco created the plans, Felicity didn't exactly follow the plans that Cisco created.

I do agree that the cross over felt like a very forced plot to introduce the key players of the new series, but it had its moments.

I'm guessing startup/pilot money for the new series was tapped for these episodes. No way was either show going to pay for those Egypt sets as a one-off. I'm guessing they'll be appearing again in the new show during more flashbacks.

Unless they were leftover standing sets from another production.

My problem is that it feels like they've spent all year this year on both Arrow and Flash setting up the new show, not actually having seasons of Arrow and Flash. It's just too much setup, not enough actual story.

That's the way I've been feeling these last few shows, but especially all this arrow, flash crossover stuff. I don't watch the arrow. all that arrow stuff means nothing to me. I DO watch the flash, and having to deal with so much arrow stuff I know nothing about is really pissing me off that we arn't getting as much flash time.

And what exactly is this legends of tomorrow stuff? other than more crossovers? DC needs to learn not to try so hard to play catchup to marvel. let things stand on their own for a few seasons. THEN when you run out of ideas, you do crossovers. sigh.

If everyone is over the crossovers and dealing with Arrow stuff on The Flash then why is it the only thing that's been discussed in the past week? (Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of the crossovers but doing crossovers is comics 101.) We could have been talking about the Flash content of the crossover these past few days.

Why has nobody brought up Velocity 6? While its a twist on the original it brought me back to early Flash Vol2, it seems only fitting that it showed up during the Vandal Savage introduction crossover right before the week before we meet Wally. (OMG, The Flash almost teared me up tonight when they told Joe, then again {but not as close} when he shows up) Which brings up some questions...

- Is Velocity 6 a precursor to Velocity 9 or did the just rename it for some random reason?
- If Velocity 6 is just a precursor are we going to see Vandal Savage again as he creates Velocity 9?
- If Velocity 6 is just a rename will it have the same side effects for non-speedsters as Velocity 9 did?

Well, VS returns somehow...if you watched flash last night it was in the commercial for LOT.

The same people make arrow and flash and they're using both it seems to set the backstory for LOT. It's just what it is at this point. On the plus side, there's only 2ish more episodes, if that, before LOT starts up and Flash/Arrow can't return to themselves. Personally, seems like they could have started LOT with the crossover stuff and left it out of the other shows, but you know, it's also shameless cross promotion :)

Well, I got to the trickster episode. It's SOOO Much better when they avoid the crossover stuff and just goes to show why I love this series.

It's funny. I don't care about the race switching for iris and joe so much, because I don't know those characters as well. but any time I see this wally west, it just doesn't seem like wally to me. once you see a character a certain way for so long, and get used to them that way, any changes just don't seem right. just like with Jimmy on super girl.
but, obviously the formula works at bringing in new people to these franchises, so it's not going away any time soon. it just seems like a gimmick to me. like rebooting ghostbusters as all girls ;o)....

oh well. I'm sure it'll be fine. Joe and Barry's relationship is one of the best parts of the show.

Its gonna get really weird when Tina McGee leaves her husband and moves in with Wally. :lol

I never kept up with the comics or the cartoon series very much. So all this is new to me. I do remember that I enjoyed the first series and was upset when they cancelled it so soon. And I remember seeing the Flash appear on the Superman cartoon series a few times. Was pretty cool to watch them race around the world! The comic books I didn't read them... was too into Star Wars at the time. But I am enjoying this new series. Its great to see Mark Hamill doing his Joker/Trickster persona... he makes a great bad guy! :) I would love to see him as the Joker in the new Batman movies! He'd be perfect!

The new 52 from DC comics is also a black wally west. But I don't like Supergirl's version of Jimmy Olsen. I don't mind he's black. They changed him completely as taller and macho. Winn Schott acts more like the Jimmy Olsen type from previous comics & movies.
