D.C.'s The Flash (tv series)

It also didn't make sense to me how he knew about past flash (I'm assuming the guy with the wings is the older flash from the 40s).... when he said 'Time for me to go', I assume he knew what that helmet meant.

this series is pretty good at answering these questions, so I hope they don't leave us hanging..

The way i figure it the singularity at the end of S1 was the timeline asserting itself into the fact that Fake Wells never existed. They prevented their timeline from collapsing. I think there is still an alternate timeline split and that's where this Atom Smasher came from.

I think that's probably their intent.

From a chronological standpoint - the current timeline had to exist for them because, if Eddie kills himself to prevent Eobard from ever existing - then Eobard couldn't kill Barry's mom, Barry wouldn't be the flash (at least at that time, theoretically), and Eddie wouldn't be in the position to kill himself to keep Eobard from existing, so in the redux universe, Eddie would still exist, not kill himself, and the cycle would repeat.

Therefore, if you want to believe in the multiple universe theory, at the point Eddie kills himself, a universe is created where Eobard never exists and the prior events all occurred AND another universe is created where Eobard never goes back to kill Barry's mother.

The universe they stay in is likely an abnormal universe or fractured or something as Barry cannot exist in his current form without Eobard still coming into existence to become his enemy and one day go bcak and try to kill his mother.

It could very well be that a number of new universes were created to balance out all the potentialities of the situation and the singularity we saw causing damage was the universe at large doing just that.

That wouldn't explain why the flame guy disappeared (keep forgetting his name) and the professor remained. If the singularity was the timeline asserting itself, it wouldn't work. The time line would just *HAPPEN* in an instant. I thought the singularity was just the wormhole that was created to the future that Wells was trying to get to closing and destabilizing. If Wells' father died and prevented Wells from being born in the first place, none of the events that transpired would have ever happened as soon as Adam died, the current timeline would have ceased to exist and Barry would be without powers as well. The real Wells would have taken over but the odds of him figuring out the reactor would have been alot greater seeing as the fake Wells was the one that built it in the first place.

Ok that makes a little more sense now that you mention it (mental note, Eddie not Adam). So basically if this new timeline/universe had to be created to balance out the paradox, then it could also mean that this new timeline is unstable and all kinds of weird things could start happening... who knows, maybe Nixon was never impeached, or even Hitler was never killed. So many possibilities that would make things interesting until someone figures out what's going on... I think it would be Cisco... he's always been a bright guy!

If Hitler hadn't been killed Flash would have 2 lightning bolts side by side on his chest and a black uniform, and would make Zoom seem like a choirboy. Just saying.

I'm hoping the other half of Firestorm got kicked into the other universe and Bart can rescue him.

Ronnie is gone, but he may show up again in a flashback or some other way. This was confirmed by the EP (http://www.designntrend.com/article...n-why-they-decided-to-kill-off-spoiler-in-the).

As for Firestorm, they have already cast someone else for the part. In the comic books the Firestorm "Matrix" was always interchangeable, so one of the original members could merge with someone else to form Firestorm. It started out as Ronnie and Stein, but then they added some Russian guy. After that Stein was by himself. They eventually added Jason Rusch (who has already appeared on the show). The nature of the character means they can switch out either of the two actors and still have Firestorm.

I was a bit underwhelmed by the first episode, but it's now back full steam. Episode 2 was great, Jay Garrick is awesome, Zoom looks indeed like a speed demon and
Harrison Wells is back ! His one line had something slightly creepy in it, the way he said it, and his behavior... Is it really Wells ? Or maybe Earth 2 Wells isn't as nice as E-1 Wells...
And the homage to that cover :

Was just pure awesomeness.

zoom enhanced.jpg i have a bunch more caps of zoom's suit in a build thread i started just search cw zoom. but clearly just not reverse flash black

Oh my, imagine the drama if Zoom was Earth 2 Eddie. I doubt that's that case though with Rick Cosnett being part of the Quantico cast, plus you want to keep things moving forward and that would just keep us stuck mentally in the first season.

They did play ominous music when they showed him. The implication being he's not all goody two shoes and all.

Curious as to how alt-flash comes to this universe, but looses power, yet zoom and the bad guys can pop through without any issues at all it seems.

I know the voice is altered, but Zoom seems bigger than Wells is and the size/voice made me think it's Ed.

The voice actor for Zoom is Tony Todd.. so I'm not sure how / if they will un-mask Zoom..
Maybe it will be a Darth Vader type thing where it's a different voice with the mask on?
Not even 100% sure it is mask. Kind of looks like it may just be his face? We'll just have to wait and see!

I think Eddie sucked into the Singularity and Zoom appearing on Earth 2 are red herrings.

I'm calling it now: Zoom is Earth 2's Henry Allen.

Would be nice to see Shipp in a suit again! He was always such a good superhero. Anyway, he has a build more like Eddie's if you look closely.

Did anyone pick up on the Scanners reference?

When Patty Spivot asks Barry if there's a meta human that can explode people's heads... the guy who blew up the guy's head was Louis Snart played by Michael Ironside... Who was the guy who could makes people's heads explode... in Scanners.

IMDb beat me to it but I did actually make the connection all on my own. :)
