Cylon Tanker - Studio Replica Model

Well, after a year hiatus on this project, I finally finished it.

This model is a replica of the filming miniature used in the Original Battlestar Galactica series, we see it in the first 'movie'. It is primarilay made out of 1/8" acrylic and is approximately 44" long by 7.5" wide. The weathering is mostly oils, with some pastel and airbrush finishing. Most of the kit parts match the original, but some scratch parts were made to fill in for those I didn't have.

It's quite amazing how it changes color under different lighting. Sorry about the poor pics, just didn't have any good light down there.

Hope you enjoy!

I've started collecting parts for this model but I'm still a bit away from starting it. Great job here. It looks great :thumbsup

Just BEAUTIFUL Sean.. Top notch !

Not a TOS guy myself but that's a PURTY ship !

I have to chuckle too, I may not know WHAT
kits they came from but damn do lot's of those
parts get used over and over again on builds !

:lol

Very cool! I spotted a bunch of kits I have in my stash... "almost" makes me want to build one.

I also like the little raider - that's a nice touch :thumbsup

Looks pretty awsome to me.The Leopold Gun Railway and Saturn V were extensively used on most of the minatures from the looks of it.I'm not sure what the other parts are(maybe more I might recognize more later?), but the Leopold and Saturn V are obvious.Good work!

Outstanding work.
I recall a few years I gave someone per their request as many photos as I had on that ship. I had everything they were looking for except good clear bottom photos. By chance was that you looking for the photos v

That was me.
Thanks for your help with the tanker refrences!

Hey THANK YOU everyone!! I sincerely appreciate the nice comments. Yeah, it was a FUN ship to build and very rewarding to see it done.

I couldn't have done it without a lot of help from many of you here (you know who you are!)

I'm always humbled to be in the presence of all you master modelers out there!!

Thanks again!

Here's a shot of the 'fleet' so far....
