The show just aired friday and had these suites on for the first time and The Colonial Fleet Quorum has already figured it out. Check them out at:

The soulder bicep armor look to be knee shin armor from motorcycle leathers or kids catcher baseball equipment.

DOH! :confused Sorry about that. I thought it might be like the RPF where you don't have to be a member to read the threads. When they are taking registrations, get on it, it's a great website!

The armor on the upper arms is actually forarm and elbow pads for cycling. It looks like they took the padding part off and kept the hard plastic and attatched it to the upper sleeve.
