Cutting Blades for Dremels

Hello all. I've been working on some helmets (Dredd & Power Rangers) for the past few months. It's a slow process when I don't actually have a workspace. While I'm not working I'm looking up processes and hints on helmet finishing. I just got done cutting in half my Green Mighty Morphin Power Ranger helmet.

I used a small hand held Dremel with a diamond cut-off wheel. I used that blade because after looking online it seemed like that would be the blade to use to get the thinnest cut. The cut on the top is nice but there's more of a gap on the sides so the helmet doesn't 'close' completely. I might have to use some bondo to fill in the gap. My question to you RPF friends... what you recommend using to achieve a thin cut on fiberglass? Is there another blade I don't know of? I have a Mighty Morphin Blue and White helmet that I will also be working on in the future.

As soon as you cut something, you'll have to deal with the thickness of your blade/tool you're using. So, if for you, this "gap" has to be crisp and perfect you'll have to find some kind of thinner blade...but do be careful they tend to break easily

i had a very thin metal saw blade for my dremel made for cutting plastic on model kits, i think it was about the thickness of a credit card if that.

Hmm... I'll have to look into that. Credit Card thickness sounds better then what I have currently.

Thank you for all the suggestions!
