"Cut me, Mick"
</span>

Well, having two blizzards here in Colorado in less than two weeks I had to keep busy with a new sculpture over the Holidays. And having had this one planned for a few years now I couldn't resist sculpting my own '30th anniversary tribute' bust of Rocky. I went with the "Cut me Mick" version because how often will I get to sculpt Rocky in his full battled glory from the Apollo fight in the first film?
I have a custom made robe and will be posting painted pictures real soon ;)

As usual, PM me if you need more info on this piece :)

:eek

What a uniquely wonderful idea. Battle damaged Rocky looks great. The hair alone looks incredible but the eyes take the cake. I love it. You have to post painted pics as soon as you can Howard. This one is going to look awesome finished.

How do you do it?
Bravo.

What blows me away Howard is that ALL your pieces
look different.

Many artist have different charcters that have the same eyes or look.

You nail the essence of the star.

I so wish I had some talent.
Ha... Someday.

For what it's worth, I have quite a few of your pieces and everyone who sees them remarks how life like they are.

Better than GREAT Job.

Chewie, when....WHEN will you realize that you are NO GOOD at sculpting????? You try, and try... but the sculpts look NOTHING like the people that.....

Hell, I can't do it. :lol As usual, a fantastic job. Hell of a sculpt, man. :thumbsup Can't wait to see it painted.

the whole things is amazing, but i must say that is the most amazing sculpted hair i have ever seen.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup ... very cool that you did the "beat up" version - :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Wait until he's painted, I left the hair a tad on the thinner side because I plan on adding wet hair on this, it will ad some to the finished piece in realism.

Thanks Russ. I always loved him beat up... my mother just reminded me when I was only six years old after seeing it in the theaters I would draw him with blood on his eye. I guess things just don't change :D

What he said.

Awesome choice and great work Howard.

Looks awesome Howard. Odd seeing Rocky as a "blonde" though. I can't wait to see this all done up.

On a side note...I was at Disney this week and went on the Pirates ride and hall of Presidents. Disney sooooo should have gotten you to do the new sculpts.
