Custom light saber?

I think that's about the size I want 30" outside hilt it will give it a katana??? Like look. Plus I'm thinking I will go for a behind the back holder like Pre vizla had RIP ;)

Someone mentioned I need to get the end for the saber does anyone know if they are very expensive?

what type of shroud are you looking for? a "S" curve graflex type? or a Vader MPP/Heiland type?

I can't speak for Soilman, but I was thinking my Heiland custom needed a Heiland style shroud. Possibly even the "double step" version as it's got a pretty sleek look to it.

I was unaware that there was an s-curved shroud.

Blast-tech has the shrouds you are looking for. they are $25, but a plastic composite. They also have the other pieces you need should you decide to do a Vader.

Blast-Tech - Products - Camera Parts

The vintage shrouds will be metal of course, and can be found for a good price if you scour ebay.

Alternately.. maybe gutting an MR/FX toy saber> or even one from a Joe Jedi/616 kit perhaps??

Those Blast-Tech plastic shrouds are cast of a real vintage MPP with a thin edge (thinner edge then the MR anyways) since I own both it was easy to compare :D

Ok, Now that I have the Heiland in hand it's time for me to buy the components and build the saber. I don't think I will put the shroud on the saber since I am going to make a Custom Samurai Mando costume. I am looking at making something that has a good sound, and I was thinking about trying to find the saber sound like the dark saber uses. From what I am reading I would like to use the Nano Biscotte. I also found a blade socket on the Graflex shop page. http://www.graflexshop.com/images/mpp_1_01_lg.gif

I have also found pages that say they have prewired sound chip, and battery.

What I was wondering is there any one piece unit that has the sound chip, battery, led hookup and the basic set up all ready to install? or do you have to build them from the ground up as usual?

Thanks for the help.

The Nano Biscotte is from/at: The Custom Saber Shop (and you cant go wrong with a plecter product if you want quality!)

as far as an all-in-one.. (not exactly).. but close.. :)

it really all depends on the features you want..

but for example.

this could be the speaker 'and' battery holder combo:

MHS speaker and 2x AA battery holder

your sound board:
NB MWS Header and Wiring Harness

then pick out your momentary switch.. main LED..etc.

if you want more features and current regulation.. you go with a more higher end plecter board..

with the thecustomsabershop.com MWS system.. its really just plug-n-play.. since its all JST connectors. :)
