custom Iron Man suit

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

I really like seeing the IM & IP armors evolve into new builds. Nice to see defferent perspectives towards the armor...GM
Thanks GM

I'm really having fun with this :) I am working on the biceps the templates for the under forearm and the outer forearm (the one in the drawing) I am just so excited! Once I get that done all I need to do is the detail on the back and chest and I will be done with the upper body. Its going to take a while, but its going to look so cool! trying to contain my enthusiasm is not easy...

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

Yeah i know exactly what you mean. Right now i am working on my War-Patriot helmet. It will introduce an new opening system and i can't wait for completion...GM

woooooh you are posting a thread about it? because I am looking forward to seeing it!
-----------------
I have only the pinky left on the hand so I will post a pic later. I also have one back flap and bicep done. the blade is way to dull even when I sharpen it so i will do what I can with foam and work on the cardboard peices for now. i made the basic template for the forearm I just need to make it actual size so i can trace it to foam. just a little update if anyone follows this thread :)

Well right now i am rondoing the helmet but because of it being a redesign it's a little challenging. The link is at the bottom of this post. The cheeks of the helmet will retract back to the ear area, and the rest will retract like a regular one. Hopefully it's a sound idea...GM

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love personal redesign's of characters. Especially when done well, looking good man.

Before I saw your final color scheme I had already pictured my suggestion, so take this or leave it since the sketch looks good as is. I was thinking almost the same as what you decided on but switch the black and orange. Just my opinion, but I think the orange would look better if it was more of an accent color.

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

maybe its just the perfectionist in me... I ordered some new blades so my hopefully my next update will be the forearm. I will be working on the right hand in the mean time.

You should extend the life of your blades and sharpen them with emery paper...GM

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

a little update: i outlined everything for the right hand including the fingers ( i think all but the pinky) then my new blades came and i made the biceps and back flaps and started on the forearms. its not much though, i had the idea that the outer forearm would attach to the back so i dont have to carry it when i wear the suit. i might have a picture of the inner forearm attached to the bicep later today, i am almost done with those.

Looking class man! I think a holster for the forearm piece is a great idea =D

thanks man! I just hope it doesn't look awkward.... the forearm might turn out bigger than I expected.

On a slightly different note, this already slow build is going to be even slower! I have a lot of work to finish by the end of this month. If I do have updates it will be very minimal, I might post other plans I have for the suit (to keep you guys interested hehe) if you wanna help me bounce off ideas.
