I know it says REPLICA and I know you guys are tired of iron man but i thought it would be fun to share since it is my own design. I do need some design input on the forearm, i wanted to do something like that mark 25 but i dont know how to go about that. i thought i should ask since you are very creative people. here is some of my progress so far ( the chest is almost completed but i dont want to post it until its done) i will upload a picture of the design later today if you guys want. stay fabulous!

looks good so its a version of the heartbreaker with the mk 6 legs and forearms, with the mk 7 biceps?

Thanks, its kinda like the heartbreaker. I took what i liked from that and the mark 7 and added my own stuff as well. But the forearms are definitely going to be changed. I like the forearms of the mark 25 or something like bumblebees canon in transformers. I really appreciate you replying to my thread :)

nice idea. im kinda doing the same thing. taking favorite pieces from different armors and making a custom hybrid suit. i also kno wat its like when no one really replys to ur threads, kinda in the same boat. ive only had a few ppl say something so i kno how much its appreciated when someone does. but back onto ur suit what color scheme are u planning on doing?

Thank You! I know right ALL ABOARD! Good question though... I want to use blue orange grey and black, but not sure where. I would love some suggestions! And I saw your thread your suit is going to be the bomb diggity!

thax. still making the thing and if it keeps going well ill have it done right on time if not earlier! working on the gloves right now...its not easy at all. keep getting hot glue and super glue on my hands so not exactly fun!

its hard to say how to do ur color scheme. if u said traditional iron man colors that b a lil easier. but since ur going with colors of a different variety its hard to say. first ull have to pic ur primary color, secondary, and then detail colors. but since this is ur rodeo ur gonna have to pic em and rum wit em. but since its early u can do a drawing and just make copies so u can try different colors schemes.

Yeah I am going to make a photocopy and try different color coordinations. The hand for me was killer, but I was so happy with the way it turned out. Are you using paper, cardboard or foam?

I'm using foam. If I went the other too ways I'd deff have to fiberglass it and I really don't wanna do a whole suit in fiberglass. Cause after that I'd have to sand it all, dremil in all the details, not to mention make sure I got the fiberglass to harden right. Doing that for a whole suit drive me crazy, hell I'm scared to do a lil bit on my suit as is. Not to mention wit foam u get a heat gun and then u can have it rounded and stretch. But I am goin to plastidip the whole thing to give it some strength. But I am going to fiberglass the joints and where I'm going to put screws in. Deff look up some videos on YouTube if u don't kno which one to use. Stealth helped pursade me to foam. And he has a ton of tutorials to help u along

I love your suit design and really want to see how the chest and back will come out. What helmet do you want to use? Custom?

Stealth actually got me into this stuff. My suit is going to be foam with the smaller components in thin cardboad. I plan on finishing it with plasticcoat so I can add my own motorized "weapons". I wanted to go all out for my last halloween before I go away for college

thanks so much! I Im not sure what helmet I want to do, I might modify the standard one. Somethin to think about.

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

Depends, usually where you got your knife? Usually you can get spare blades at thé same place you got the knife, or else Ebay is your friend.

Thank You! Its just really expensive (a set of 5 is more than the knife), I was wandering if I could get a better one for the same price. I have the x-acto 45 degree cutter, can anyone recommend something better?

Re: custom Iron Man suit: feedback appreciated

I really like seeing the IM & IP armors evolve into new builds. Nice to see defferent perspectives towards the armor...GM
