My recent Halo ODST build. It's SB armor and quite a high quality kit. The bucket is resin. The paint is all mine.

The props are TTX. Still shaking out the bugs.

great work man, i'm a massive fan of the halo universe and when i see posts like these it makes me proud to be a fan

hey Frankie! I remember that shot! Sorry, been busy. Thanks for posting!

Sketchy...starting another this weekend (because building three costumes at once isn't enough!)

The paint looks great! Honestly its been a while since I've seen that color on armor! You pulled it off great!!

Thanks for all the great comments! Hope to see some of you after the parade at Dragon for the HALO shoot. I can't sell it, I've only worn it once! (and as armor goes, it is so freakin' comfortable!)

Krylon Hammered black for the gun metal color, Krylon Hammered copper for the shins and chest, and everything is based in Krylon Hammered silver. I masked the silver with masking fluid, which is just liquid latex, and applied as necessary.

The camo is Krylon Camo Tan, Krylon OD Green camo and Krylon Hammered brown (the base color for my Dead Space 3 helmet).

Thanks for the that. I'm just about to start my own ODST project and your colours seem to be spot on. Can't believe it's hammered black as it looks so grey. Thanks again.

I wrestled with that color, but rolled the dice, and when photographed, I was satisfied. The Krylon Hammered series is hard to find in Central Florida now. All our Walmarts fazed it out. Bastards! Now I have to order it online. It has a texture too, which helped on my EVA foam DeadSpace 2 Zealot suit.
It hides seams and imperfections!

P.S. Love the "V" wife and I just re-watched the original with Mark Singer!

Im starting my own ODST build and I'm curious about how you went about painting your emblem onto the chestplate. Did Sean do it for you or was there a specific way you did it? I'd like some info so I can do it on my ODST as well...but with a different emblem.
