URUACU - IAB-MG Iron Octahedrite

Available whole specimens, 25 cents per gram

Most are in the 70-100 gram weight range

$50 - Polished 56 Gram End Cut​

This is a polished end cut that has a very nice shape for it’s size

The cut face has been polished and has a nickel like appearance with lots of visible inclusions

When I was cutting this the blade jumped and made a second cut in the face.

Originally I was going to fix this by re-cutting it, but after I polished it I thought it added a unique look to the face so I figure I would see if it would sell like this first

It weighs 56 grams and the listed price is due to the labor required to cut and polish it

NWA 8529 H-6 Chondrite (Stone)

NWA meteorites are classified specimens from North West Africa that are normally sold by nomadic desert people to meteorite dealers.

I recently acquired a 2.4 kilo H-6 whole specimen and processed it into a sphere rough for my collection and a variety of slices and end cuts that I am offering here and on other forums.

H-6 Meteorite this large are very rare so this is a great opportunity to add a large example of an H-6 to your collection.




This material is freshly cut and it is not polished in the first image. I will polish specimens at the request of any interested buyer.

I am asking 75 cents to a $1.50 per gram plus shipping

The gram weight is shown in the second image

The 2 large center pentagon shaped slices fragmented during cutting but they have been repaired in accordance with accepted community practices

SIKHOTE ALIN - IIAB Iron Octahedrite
​

Sikhote Alin is classified as a “Coarsest” iron, that means it has the widest band width of the widmanstatten pattern or the largest clusters of crystals

This is the meteorite that destroyed a large part of a Russian forest in 1947

Processed Sikhote Alin is very rare and smaller pieces go for $4-$6 per gram on eBay, and now I know why. This material is very hard to cut and tricky to etch.


Al;l pieces are etched but if you prefer the polished look I can re-polish it or I can lightly polish the etch.

It is difficult to truly capture the beauty of the etch but I can assure you it is more stunning in person and very holographic in nature.

Here is a video that shows the look of the etch on some of the pieces, not all of these are available.

Dho XXX Unclassified “Stone” Meteorite Slices 14 Grams to 56 Grams

I decided to process one of the unclassified meteorites that I have laying around and discovered it was loaded with metal

Most slices have a lot of visible metal but it reflect light at different angles so it it hard to capture it in a single image

These are not polished but if you want a slice I can polish it abd send you pictures

I am asking 50 cents per gram which is about average for an unclassified meteorite
