Yup I have strayed from Fallout which I know, it's blasphemous. For a super secret ski and Salt Lake ComiCon appearance, I have begun working on 7 separate Original Mortal Kombat (MK1 remake) vests from the 2011 MK 9.
I've added a reference picture at the top, but below you can see the two disgustingly large piles of the quilted vinyl that I have to work on, and my patterns. I was going to go with only 2 pieces for each shoulder, but decided instead to have two separate pieces for each shoulder, equaling 4 separate vinyl/foam pieces to connect. This is so I can size them up much better per person.
So far I have Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, Smoke, Reptile, Lord Raiden, and Noob Saibot lined up to be made, which means coloring them as well. Not quite sure how I was going to go about doing that, since it's quilted vinyl - perhaps plasti-dipping? If you have any suggestions for coloring them, I would much appreciate them! This should only take another few days before I have the first vest done!
And here is what I have done so far. I'll be moving on to shaping them up, coloring and sewing this weekend.

I have my work cut out for me, but stoked on finishing these so I can fight imaginary Baraka's in my basement with them
