Test-fitting a tea light in the sculpt in progress. Clay is Monster Clay Medium.
For this design I wanted to convey a sense that this is a miniaturized model of a sacrificial alter, where if it was life-sized, the hole would hold wood for a fire to burn the offering.
Final cleanup and texturing.
Final completed cast piece.
Here it is in an alternate faux bronze paint finish.
Also decided to try it out in a chiseled onyx look.
