Work in progress. This sculpt is of Monster Clay Medium. For this iteration I wanted to try something that is a bit more elegant than what I usually do with a mix of a bit of art nouveau and art deco with a stylized and faceted look. Measures about 4.75" tall.

For the head I took a bit of inspiration from Giger's Xenomorph design with the ribbed look and a sort of dorsal element.

Looks pretty and cool. Well made and believable. It always fascinates me how different designs people can come up with for this piece. And all of them, due to the subject matter, feels correct.

Love the texture, like it was sculpted in volcanic rock or something and love the colors. Looks like an old bronze statue. Would further add to the age and effect if there were scuffs and dirt on it. Like it had been around for ages upon ages.

Thank so much! I really appreciate that. This was a very fun sculpt to work on and I'm very happy with the results. Though I've made several Cthluhu themed items in the past I always try my best to never repeat myself so my goal is to make them each look like they were made by some different culture, region, or time period. Part of the fun, as you said, is coming up with a new Cthulhu design that is different from the rest and yet remain true to the mythos.

My first reaction was 'giving the old boy more class than he deserves,' but then decided it looked weirder to me than you intended.

Almost like a struggling artist in a garret, in a fevered dream had created it, say in the thirties.

Again, not your intention, but it touched something in my imagination.

Not bad!
