Thanks Lee :p
was hoping that the plaster would have come today so I would have started to mold it over the weekend, but looking at the forecast it's going to be raining all over the weekend (so even if i had the plaster i woudn't have been able to make a start )
Well so far its been clear coated now with divideds added and the manables have been sliced off in prep for molding.

Well after a long time with this project on the self its finnish now!!!
just need to get plaster and some latex now.

Heres the final pictures before molding starts

This is QUALITY!!........like a conglomerate of preds!!........the ONLY critique i have (and can OBVIOUSLY be ignored as it is only my opinion)....is the fangs seem to be in an unatural splay.....they are angling outwards.
Loving the skin patterns tho......looking forward to the paint up.
good work!

OH..........and one more thing to take into consideration.......if you are naming him "croc head".............make SURE you double check for spelling errors!!!!

dude not to burst your bubble or anything i love the croc head.. but is it straight.. i mean from the photos it looks crooked(spelt arse ways) but it looks like its leaning more to one side than the other.....

yep its straight the Armature head that i had used (made it myself) sholders where not fully formed but the head is perfect. most likey down to the angle that i was taken because there was stuff on the floor so was leaning over whilest taken the picture

Well plaster is here at last!!!
I have already started with the manables casted off now so only thing now is to do the rest of the head
Which I'm hoping to make a start tomorrow (If the weather holds out).
At this moment I have some latex which i have used to mold the manables but i'm holding off ordering more till the head is done.

Only problem that i'm having with the latex, that i have is that its taken aaaaaagggggesss to cure. so far its been 3 days with it still being semi wet.
How long does latex take to cure?!? or is it that I have a naff batch, because its been in a warm area for all that time. ( I'm tempeted to place them in the oven for a bit :D )

takes my heads roughly 4/5 days to come out of the mold. But i now have my molding station near a radiator so sometimes it can be 3.

Each head i do , be it P1 P2 or wolf is different, it depends on size of mask/ design and how thick you want it.

personally i hate thin masks.

I'm curious as to the type of latex your using...

The stuff I'm using is from SILPAK here in the US - RLM461 foam latex - and I can handle it within 24 hours. Is there a catalyst that is required in what you guys use????? or is it simply the moisture in the air you deal with?

Also, I've learned that if you ensure the mold is well dried prior to pour the item comes out much quicker. As such, after a pull, I place a fan in front of the mold for a few hours before pouring again.

Just my 2 cents,

Oh my gosh... dangit now I am gonna wana buy this.... OUCH ME WALLET HURTS!

well we see :) kinda happy that i finaly managed too pull this off. Only nagging was that it feels kinda thin, but then again it may harden futher as it cures. But I will be doing a other one tomorrow where im going to add a good thick layer with the rest of the latex that I have got.
