creating a TMNT(Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtle) shell for Nephew

So my 5 year old Nephew is a big Turtle fan this Saturday is his Birthday so : Time to Build a shell and possible nunchaku (Mikey) is is favorite
My progress over last two nights
Pattern Drawn out

Full oval cut out then cut pattern to create definition
(just razor cut so far)

sanded the piece for some roundness

Shaped the main piece then shaped and glued on the raised bits
before gluing on the raised pieces added nylon backpack straps

Resin coated with a 2 part plastic casting resin

First coat of Color after a bright primer coat

Added a belt loop to back of shell to hold the lower belt, Didn't want to glue it in place


a few more coats of paint and a bit of detail

ok so got home late last 2 nights so I only got the nunchaku done PLastic Chain and Pipe insulation wrapped in fabric

Finalized weathering on shell sewed on velcro to created the belt and made the older sister a weapon to defend herself from her younger brother

If only I had this when I was 5, I had to settle for just belting a pillow to my back lol.
