I love these kind of ah.... insanity. :thumbsup
North West short Line makes the Chopper and bunch of other nifty tools for styrene mostly for the model railroad market:Astonishing work! So precise and detailed!
Where'd you get one of those guillotine style styrene cutters???? I NEED one of THOSE!

Yeah, well, I find it's easier to collect tools than to find the time or effort to do what I would like to do with them. I dont't get the practice to get to you level. wonderful work BTW. The tables at verious shows make it really easy to pick up stuff cheap. I wanted the mill for a long time, so about ten years ago or so after finishing a contract(I'm an engineer who works contract) I bought the setup from Sherlime which included the mill and lathe. The mill is useful for making accurate little tools and jigs quickly. I've made clamps for cutting plexi so that I can mill plexi shapes which I'm using to back a paper kit of the local watering hole, donovans. The last couple of years were tied up with creative energy at wrk pushing out three major engineering projects and then i got laid off and have to look for soemthing else with the roller coaster that involves. Plus the bench has collected some repair jubs that are roundtoits that need to be cleared off. I did start a North Comorant that I would like to detail and a friend sold me an entire Evergreen rack from his old store, so material wise I'm in good shape. Now just to find something I REALLY want to build with a deadline that forece me to finish it.Katsu-san, thanks - nothing insane here of course compared to your brand of detailing. Metal wood - really appreciate it, - wow, your grandfather's got some serious experience under his belt I'm truly impressed - tell him thanks! To have worked first hand on those projects and especially the LM must have been a really amazing experience. Very interesting link, Mike J! NikonD80 - I hope I don't disappoint you with the rest of the build : ) Jccarlton, you got some pretty serious stuff in your workshop - saw it in the other thread, thanks for watching!
Can't wait for the test firing!
