Court of Owls Mask Help Needed

Hi everyone.
I am new to this site and construction in general. I joined because I am hoping to use the Court of Owls mask and book set pictured below to create a thicker and more sturdy version of the mask as the version in the set is quite flimsy plastic. I need help because I have no idea the best way to do this. I was thinking of creating a mold using the mask and then filling it with resin or something. I am a complete beginner without any pre-existing access to construction tools or materials and need to know the simplest and most cost effective way to do this. However I did study product design in high school so I should be able to follow instructions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I did something similar too. I took the plastic backing that came with the box and cut out the shape for the eyes and taped it to the inside to kind of fill it in a bit. After that I just made a silicon rubber mold and made a urethane cast and filed it down and this also gave me a chance to cut down the profile a bit to make it look a bit more narrow and menacing.
