Costumebase ROTS Vader?

I was thinking of getting the same helmet a week or two ago. I registered over at the Prop Den asking about it, no one seemed to support it. They said it had been casted poorly, although they wouldn't say exactly what was wrong with it. I moved on, not wanting to risk $250. But if you want to get one and give us the lowdown on it...
I've seen pictures of someone wearing it with a ROTS costume, and it looked fine from the pictures. I was leaning toward getting it when I decided to go in a different costuming direction.

I love all the the descriptions on ebay like this one with all the disclaimers and junk which actually carry no legal weight at all :lol

But the funniest part is it says delivery takes 10 to 15 days but then later it says all faulty goods must be returned within 7 days of placing an order :rolleyes

P.S posting of live auction links is not allowed.

Disclaimer: Posting of live auction links is allowed if you ask if the item is a recast or a rip-off :D

There's been another thread on this helmet: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=49379

The finish was better than I expected.
This was my first Vader helmet so I didnt want to spend too much in case I ruined it

I know it isnt 100% accurate but I am happy

Sorry for the crap pics

MR recasts were bound to come up eventually. Just look at all of the Don Post recasts that are floating around.

It is absolutely an MR recast. I asked costumebase about it and received a response telling me that it was casted from the MR.

They actually admit it? Yoikes.....

Maybe they see it as a grey area thing i mean people don't seem to think theres much wrong with casting a DP delux or even a CA.
Same kind of thing MR no longer produce or hold a license for it.
Not advocating it just saying.

I agree with this statement.

I mean why would it be OK to recast a DP delux (something that seems to be universally accepted by the prop community) or OK to recast an original prop, but not OK to recast a MR helmet? :confused

The fun will start if eFX decide to dig the old MR tooling out for a re-release :lol
