Constantine: Holy Shotgun Shells, WIP

small update:

Russ is currently lathing the slugs and i have the 10 shells etched. So start saving your pennies as this (very likely one time) run will be in the JY soon.

If i ever get my much craved cnc mill, i might actually try to make one out of aluminium and brass. A prop like that is so labour intensive, you would be easily looking at $5-7K

Received the first 5 slugs today (of the 15 ordered). Sanded and polished the top and milled a hole in the bottom to see how they look.

That's a very simple, elegant solution for the primers. I would have simply guessed 'primers' if I didn't know any better.

My steel domingblock finally arrived. I use it (in combination with a large rubber hammer) to fold the shell over the slug as i don't have any reloading equipment.

After the folding, i buffed the fold on the buffing wheel to make it nice and smooth. Now i just need to nickel- and goldplate it.

expect to have a JY thread up in the coming week for 12 of these.

goldplated one to see what a finished one would look like. Very happy with the endresult. Will post some pics tomorrow in daylight.

Junkyard FS thread will go live tomorrow and i will whip up another youtube video to show the entire process of production.
