Concept Vader and Stormtrooper Helmet Progress

Hi all...

I thought I'd post some progress pictures of my concept helmet kits, Vader is much farther along, I'm mulling over a gloss finish now or the satin finish. I've seen both posted here, and they both look great, just wondering which will look better in person.

Getting Vader prepped took some time, from coarse sanding to an epoxy enamel coating and coarse and fine resand to make it nice and smooth for the primer coat, I'm very happy with the surface smoothness now. I also replaced the grille detail with some sheet styrene since I screwed up trying to modify the original grill while drilling it and I think this turned out nice.

And the trooper, still in progress being cleaned up prior to a primer coat:

I just LOVE these helmets and that they were created by such talented scultpers. Thanks guys!

JV, don´t you think odd that even white, this Vader helmet is absolutely terrifying? I am fascinated by both sculptures, but this Vader is definitely breathtaking! Congratulation on your work there too!!

The Vader is the work of JRX, made out of Super Sculpey, iirc.
