Compact laser deluxe in METAL-Finished post #6

Here is how far I am right now. Still needs a lot of sanding shaping, oh yea, a Muzzle! And some weathering. Not all of the burrs are off of this yet, and I still have a lot to go. Using superglue to do a quick "hold together" then use the steel putty stuff to keep it all together. So far she has a nice weight to her. It's been pretty fun so far, she's not symmetrical as I am forming everything by HAND on this, but close enough.

I think I will retire making them after this one though! :lol

Comments welcome!

Sorry, not a WhoHead.
The CORRECT (as in, generally accepted) term is WHOVIAN. ;)

Anyway... glad to see this project under way! It's such a small prop that it's very hard to make out details in the episode, so this ought to help shed some light on a few things! :cool

Looking forward to seeing 'er when you're finished! :cool

Re: Compact laser deluxe in METAL - WIP

Here she is all finished and pretty. I took some artistic liberties to make her look prettier. For instance, the inner finger grip rings in black, the cowl detail, not too much. She's not perfect by any means. Not symmetrical on both sides, not all of the cuts are straight. But she is METAL, hand made, and largely hardware!

Wadda'ya think?

Just a thought.

I see some jagged edges on that.

Not sure if Jack is THAT much of a masochist.

Cleans up well!
I agree, it does seem a little sharp edged in places...

Great job, this is such a hard piece to see!

Thanks guys. Trust me, no jagged edges! May look look like it in the flash, but that has all been well thought out and fixed long ago.
