How would I go about matching the color of my 3D printed part to the actual finish of the MG42? Is there any "easy" way?
My attempt here is with flat black followed by a Satin clear coat. It looks like the rattlecan spray gave it a bit of texture as its not as smooth as it originally was when I sanded it (you can see the highlight is not the same as the rest of the recoil booster). I've tried graphite powder but that ends up being too grey/silvery.
