Colonial Movers - Hand 'o God style

The kit is indeed awesome. Some parts were replaced with styrene, since resin was just too fragile (for example, the three antennas on the engine section need to have styrene masts, period!). Finished gluing the cone into the engine, so now all I have to do is finish weathering!

Gorgeous. I love the last picture -looks like the same shot that used to be in the intro of BSG (at least how I remember it).

You know what this would look good next to? That resin kit of the Galactica Laser Turret that we've been promised for so long......... :cool

Why I dont own one !! This kit is wonderful TJ, great job !

Thank you. And thanks for lending me that part.

Some parts were replaced with styrene, since resin was just too fragile (for example, the three antennas on the engine section need to have styrene masts, period!).

Those and a few other super small parts were a pain to mold and cast. The original parts are just really thin in places. I tried to put multiples of the more fragile ones in the kits.

Great build and great paint job here.

Me too! If it's fragile, I'm going to break it at least once while I'm either building it, or moving it. :facepalm

Jason, she's looking STUNNING!!!! You've done this kit proud, and the lighting and vipers is just going to be the cherry on top!!! Very Nice!!

Amazing work moffeaton!!!!!!!:D

Last night I was watching the Battlestar Galactica episode "The Hand of God." Your build is so close to the CGI that it blows me away!!!!!!:cool

Keep the progress photos coming please!!!!!:cool

moffeaton, will the beauty photos be posted in this thread? I'm new to the group and I'm not sure where finished models are posted.

Your work is truely amazing and I'm looking forward to your next build.

One more question. Someone mentioned they're going to buy this kit. Is this a kit that's for sale, and if so where? I have a few works in progress at other sites, but this is an awesome subject to build.
Thanks again, Reamer

It was for sale last year, but probably still is. I can't remember who produced it.
Jason has done an amazing job here. Stunning work!

Shadowknight was selling them but looks like he might be done. There is another selling kits over at modelers miniature & magic but i dont know much about it.

Yeah, this would be the kit that I offered. I need to go through the molds this weekend and see what condition they are in.
