Cold cast mini dredd badge.

Playing around with some resin and brass powder.
The little badge is a little rough, but I'll get that sorted.

That looks pretty damn good, what type of resin did you mix with the powder?

Standard sg 2000 resin. It drys to a slight off white colour.
But the mould is coated with brass powder, that's how you get the colour.

How did you finish them?

I've been trying mineral spirits and 0000 steel wool. I never get a shine like that.

I used this, gently buff the surface.
Not to much, and use plenty of paste.

i've never tried the surface coated cold casting but i've added metal powder to the resin - give things a nice weight and can sand away a things as much as you like
