Hi, this what i'm working, it is a hard and pain in the butt, need more clean up then a first mold then when i get the pull out ...it will need sand, putty, sand, putty and sand more and more putty, primer sand ect..........it will be two pieces for the helmet front and back....the other problem i will have is the visor, so far i'm thinking use vacum form method for the visor and chrome tint film under it. well any sugestion i will appreciate it, i hope you like it ......
 
Take time but it is for the good....well here is the first mold and first pull out, it will be 3 pieces, jaw, top and visor, the visor it will be use for the vacumm form method, i will try to use clear sintra o petg, then under it chrome tint mirror, i'm crossing my finger, let see how it works if not i will be loss, all the pieces need more sanding, primer, sanding, primer and so on, the real helmet use magnet but with my helmet i will use center button quick release....this is a hard project so i 'm doing testing studing and research. i hope you like it so far.
 
Thanks, today i did some sanding and primer, it is looking great two more coat of primer and light sanding ready to paint. Photos in the next few days
 
I forgot to mentioned, i can not make this helmet without the help of the photos references RPF gallery that some menbers took specially Art Adrews, thanks you always take great photos.
The helmet it is almost 80% completed today i just got the sticker decals vinyl Cobra logo they are great.
 
Here are a few mores photos it is almost complete need a little more sanding, clean few lines. i decide to uses 2 center quick release buckle and work nice :thumbsup, I will paint it to see how it looks including the fiberglass visor
then i will try to figure out where to find clear plastic petg or clear sintra then use some chrome film tint, i talked to a company to mirror tint my visor when is done but i have to see it is work and How much.
 
Damn that looks great. FYI if you have a party city near you there is a really cheap chrome mask you can buy that looks like it would fit your bucket.

Great job with magneto helmet, yes we have a party city i will check out, the visor it is most impotant part of the helmet because the shape need to fit almost perfect to keep itselt in place and tight and the same time but definely i will check it out , thankss
 
I was an immediate fan of this helemt as soon as I saw it on the trailer. You've done a great job capturing the details and I can't wait to see it finished.
 
thank you guys, here another updates, the visor it was painted for display only until i made the clear ones with vacumm form and found out how to make it chrome.
Probably the helmet will be paint tomorrow.....
 
Thank you, i did some adujstmet to the visor and more sanding tomorrow ready to paint.
