Hello all,

I'm a newb to all this, but after seeing what you all are capable of, I really want to try my hand at something. But this is just a planning stage, as my schedule and finances likely will not allow me to start working on it until later in the future, possibly as far as after the new year.

I brainstormed what I could do that was original, but not too intricately detailed for my first time going about this. I decided on the Batman Beyond villain, Shriek:

But I need your help. The under-suit should be simple: I am thinking some kind of wet suit for a little more substance, but I could just go with a full body morphsuit (or the like) and change up the head. The rest of it is stumping me. It needs to be flexible, as shown by this (admittedly small) picture:

But should still look metallic/technological (I would think). In the show, he still has full mobility of his elbows, shoulders, and wrists. So, what I would appreciate from anyone willing to offer is advice/suggestions on how I would go about creating the body of it. (Materials to use on certain parts, how to maintain visibility in the helmet, etc.)

Some things to note:

-The hands are probably going to be modified in some way, lest I try to do some complicated finger-pulley system within each of the gloves, that would, in turn, move each of the claws. But that may be too ambitious. I may end up decreasing the scale of the arms from the elbow down, and using my own fingers, with the blue circles laid into the palms of my hands much like Iron Man's repulsors. (If you have other ideas, please share!)

-In the show, the arms are actually gloves/gauntlets that detach just above the elbow. If there is some way I could manage to do that and still retain the seamless appearance of the original costume, I could simply build the fingers/claws to be non functional, with my hand hiding inside the glove, then remove it if I need the use of my fingers while wearing it.

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Am I crazy?
Am I asking too much of the community?

All I know is, the passion radiating off this website has infected me, and so I would at least like to get plans down on paper while I have the momentum.

Alas, this remains on the proverbial drawing board. Obviously, I did not get a whole lot of feedback about materials that I could use to accomplish what I described, so I lost momentum after trying to research it myself and coming up with very little that was satisfactory.

I hope to build this at some point, but until I both get the time and figure out how to do it, I probably won't be making much headway on it :(.
