CLONE WARS weekly discussion thread

Yep. I would have loved to see the episode showing underneath the Jedi Temple. It's interesting that they said Lucas even said an ancient Sith Temple might be under there. I thought that was a creation of the new EU authors. Wonder why they'd build the Jedi Temple over it? I always liked the few EU books where they explored the lower levels of Coruscant. Hopefully we'll see some more of that.

The end of TCW was bitter sweet for me. I felt emotionally invested in it but I also agree it the decision to move in the new direction and as a result, we got Rebels sooner.

It is my hope that some day Disney will grow LFL in resources the way they did with Marvel. Marvel now has a couple of movies a year, a network series, with possibly 2 more coming, plus 3 Netflix series and a number of cartoon series. If they can do that for LFL, then maybe they can go back and finish some of these stories. Each arc would make nice little straight-to-DVD/Blu Ray movie releases.

As discussed earlier, StarWars.com has posted all four story reels from the Bad Batch The Clone Wars arc that aired at Celebration Anaheim. Remember that this too counts as canon.

Sweet. I would like to see the new droids fully rendered. And I keep fighting the urge to giggle every time someone runs and they just float. Some of the other animations are funny too, like the energy beams on the Decimator. Also, vaporizing seems to leave a lot of non-vapor.

For anyone interested, the episodes are on the video page and the order is "The Bad Batch", "A Distant Echo", "On The Wings of Kerradaks", and "Unfinished Business".

Well, my daughter gave up on Clone Wars after 5 episodes. She really like Ahsoka & Ventress, but gets sad when so many clones die. And she can't understand Grievous.
I've just started the Umbara arc - woo, the animation is great at this time. Can't wait to see the series through, and then see Rex again in Rebels!

That story arc was great, really too bad they didn't finish this up and air it. "The bad batch" aka clone force 99 are great characters! Thank you for adding the links to this.

And the Bad Batch arc makes me want to know yet again when the heck we're going to be getting a complete series box set with millions of awesome extras. :confused

Just finished season five. Holy smokes.

Watching season six now. Poor Top. I like the foreshadowing though.

well i really enjoy the rebels series, so my friend has been bugging me saying how i have to watch the clone was " its so important, its canon now, you have to watch it!!" so i opened up a netflix account to watch them. though I'm very busy, i manage to catch 1 episode a night right before i go to bed. I'm coming to the end now, I'm on season 6 episodes 7... and to be honest, i feel that this has been a total waste of canon time... i hate being negative but I'm so confused as to how the clone was is written (i think very poorly) to how rebels is written...

i have been really teasing my friend and telling him the only episodes that i found really only matter start is season 5.

season 5 episode 6-9
episodes 18-20
season 6 episodes 1-4

i haven't finished season 6 yet but really have lost hope in this series (call me a hater) with only a few episodes left in season 6, do we ever figure out what happens to
maul?

I don't know, i feel like this was a waste of my time, and that i should have just wiki'ed it. my biggest problem is that how many times obi wan and anikan bump into grievous, but in ROTS when they meet it feels like a first time encounter...

idk I've hated enough, sorry :( i do love rebels though!!

No Maul in Season 6. But his story is told in Son of Dathomir comics, which is written by the writers of the TV show and is canon

thank you, in all honesty is it worth reading?

Well worth reading and you can now buy it as a complete volume book. It is really epic and amazing.

Look at this beautiful art of the 4th issue in the spoiler button below

this must have come out awhile ago, if its already a graphic novel. I'm going to my local comic book store tomorrow I'm going to see if he can order it for me, thanks for sharing.

i knew there was a dead line in season 6, and plans for more episodes and seasons and once disney bought them out plans changed. so i figured we would be left with questions, i really did enjoy seeing maul back, and i liked it even better
when he got the pants back on to cover his robot legs.

Sorry you didn't like it but I appreciate the fact you took the time to watch it all and gave it a chance. I really loved the series because it filled in so much in the PT. I felt you got more of a sense of why so many things and characters fell out as they did. For me, it helped make Eps 1-3 better.

If you go back to some earlier posts, there are links to StarWars.com of unfinished animated story arcs with full dialog that were the pulmonary for the rest of season 6 that never got finished. I believe their are 3 different story arcs, one has a really good clone trooper story. They are also part of the canon.

The new novel Dark Disciple is based on an unaired story arc featuring Vos and Ventress.

yes i saw in another thread that there was some unfinished episodes, some of the cool things was
seeing young boba in jail, slave 1 crashing, and then cad bane some how owning the ship.
i forgot about cad bane, i really enjoyed him and honestly kept me going to the next episode hoping to see more

i totally understand what ya mean Jade's father. for example last night i watched couple episodes about
clevus and how he gains control of the banks, and then how palpatine gets access to full control of the banks
that stuff totally makes sense to me, its just i find it hard to except since they could have covered more important things in the story. and we could have just assumed when paps was given emergency powers he controls EVERYTHING. I'm just a biter old man lol

for sure the series DID have its times for me, i enjoyed the episodes i posted allot. and my friend warned me there are some more great ones in the end of season 6. ill report back when i finish those

since they brought ashoka back into rebels i figured i need to learn about her and started the clone wars. i really enjoy ashokas character, the first 2 seasons i was about to give up but after that it got little better and then better. all in all i would recommend it to a friend, i just had higher expectations. ok you can all shoot me now! lol
