Clerks 3 trailer is live

It wasn't the greatest ever, but I liked it. It had its moments, both good and bad. I won't spoil it, but this kind of has to be the last one... From a certain point of view.

Kevin isn't exactly a hugely bankable director at this point, he's making these movies for himself and his fans.

Good on him. He can make the things he wants to make and tell the stories he wants to tell. We should all be so lucky.

All I've wanted was his career... Work for myself. Make my own stuff with my friends. Still get tons of opportunities to work on other projects I enjoy with other people I'm a fan of.

Good on him for sure.

Apart from Mallrats, his movies don't cost that much to make and typically earn their money back in the theaters. While he doesn't make the studios a fortune, he doesn't lose them money either. That's the key to his longevity.

Well that and the suckers that watch his dreck……..

I would say that and your drink never to go down half way, for me Dogma was the kevmeisters greatest!

Sported the hoody and driver coat look for years after that...

Actually guess I still do... Doesn't get cold enough for winter jackets in Vancouver.

Speaking of Dogma... Is it available anywhere? I've been replacing my DVDs with 1080p and 4k digital copies and Dogma is mysteriously not on iTunes...
You can stream it if you're part of Kevin Smith's fan club, but otherwise it's out of print. Due to all the controversy back in the day, it ended up being personally owned by the Weinstein brothers, so no one is doing anything with it now.

Clerks Adjacent?.... Watched this last night..

This is one of the most fun pods I've listened to in a while... laughed a lot. They play off each other well (Pete Holmes and Kev Smith)
