Clear resin or glue to look like water?

Howdy folks.

I'm possibly going to be attempting something requiring a glue or resin or
whatever (I really don't know) that would simulate clear water. It would
be flowing as if pouring, and then in a pool where the water gathers.

I've seen some build-ups use something clear to make drool, but I don't
knwo what it was, and if it'd be the same for water or not.

Would anybody please let me know what would work best for this type
of application? I've thought about layering testor's model glue, as that
is clear, but I don't know if that is the best or easiest way to go on this.

Try this stuff......................

Games Workshop Water Effects

Use it in small layers and let it completely dry. Works pretty nice for water effects.

Would you know what it'd take to make a stream - as in water looking
like it is pouring from a bucket or tap or something similar.

Is the resin solid enough to support itself while it hardens, or would
I need to have clear fishing line or something in the center, to pour
the resin down so it had something for support initially?

I am not sure. I have only used it to make streams....puddles and such. Never anything like a waterfall or water pouring. I will see if I can dig up some articles on its use.

The absolute best water effect IMO is Polytranspar brand 'Artificial Water'

As for pouring water effect, I guess practice makes perfect but many taxidermist use the above with clear acrylic rods to support splashes... If you play around with the kick time and experiment you might get good results without any additional support, it does get too a good sticky thick stage right before it kicks solid...

try clear Styrene Sheet bent with a heat gun.
Then Paint a layer of the resin over it before you add it into your diorama...and allow to dry and build up...and dry..and build up.
Then trim it...and glue it into place in you model.
Then give in a coat to hide the seams.
