Classic Colonial Warrior Uniform

I've got jacket on the way, I hope - plus an EFX helmet. I was just going to have them as a display piece, but it's tempting to go the whole hog and get the beiges and boots as well.

That's a very well done costume/uniform. How's it seem for durability? I know that Anovos is prepping some BG stuff but I don't know that they're doing the whole uniform, which has been a problem for me on the TOS Trek stuff (in addition to the delay on tall sizes and limited availability.) I wonder how they'll compare.

Anovos is doing the Tunic and pants as well so it will be a full costume minus the boots and gunbelt.

There will be no comparisions as to which will be the more accurate of the two.

BSG Org. is inaccurate in many ways, Jacket color, and the way it is made, no lining, to stiffen it up, the collar of the Tunic is wrong as well are two of the things off the top of my head.

I have an old BSG.Org jacket I bought 5 years ago as a beater and it has held up very well.

Like everything in this hobby just boils down to how much you are willing to spend for accuracy

Thanks Apollo. I wasn't clear on that. I don't mind spending a bit more for a quality product, especially given that I'm pretty tall and hard to fit. I just bought the TOS blue scant for my wife who loves it (though it's a tad short for her in the skirt) and awaiting a tall size tunic for myself somewhere down the road. A TOS BSG warrior uniform would be fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with. This one is pretty darn good though. I'm pleased that Anovos is really cool about their licenses on most matters so that choices still remain available to the fans!

Thanks for the info!

I cannot wait until those Anovos prototypes come out. I'm sure they'll be top notch. I hope they get the overall weight of the jacket down. Most replicas are way too thin and don't hang right at all.
