The original plan was to roll out the Maul along with the Plo Koon and Luminara, my logic was that they shared components. However as I investigated more, the Maul was prety much it's own thing. They still share components but not exactly alike. So here we are.

I want to mention that a prop maker offered to send me a set of original vintage knobs to improve the accuracy of the model i have. I was able to use the 3d scanner from my day job.
I was able to trace the profile from the scan and add the correct 55 teeth. I am not sure how close the shop will make these but i am planning on providing a set of resin casted knobs made from the 3d scan area on top of an M8x0.75 thread to be able to thread them to the hilt in case you want somehting more accurate. Thank you so much Troy Sente.
For those who got the Series 4, we had a hicup on the pommel fins. Some of them got loose and we had to add a small oring to tighten them. Learning from that I compleately redesigned the Maul emitter and are now using screws to hold the fins down.
It will also have 2 emitter endcaps, the "Hero" and stunt, the later will serve as the FX versión as well.
Here is a look at the Quick Disconnect feature. A steel prototype is on order and I will post a video of the system once it arrives.
Main features:
1. Aluminum and Steel parts. Overall length 550mm
2. Quick Disconect mechanism. (Electrical Lock option will be available)
3. These are 2 different hilts. Side A (no covertec) & Side B (Covertec). The are differently constructed as well. Side A is a 3 part design and Side B is only 2 part.
4. Can be converted to a Mini Maul buy Using Side A and the Side B emitter section.
5. All knobs and beveled LEDs have the same threading meaning you can swap them if you want.
6. 2 sets of silver knobs will be provided. Machined aluminum and Resin casted.
7. 2 button setup. The buttons are the beveled LED and the small valve style greebly.
8. Can fit a 28mm speaker (Front facing chassis design).
9. Basic chassis design available for download
10. 2Switch + 1pixel PCB available for purchase (for ease of install). This is the same or similar than the one available for the Plo Koon
11. Box is included. Artwork by Christian Cruz as always.
12. Installation options will be added later. As per my previous projects this will be done by Giovanny from Aldani Customs
13. Weathering option will be available
14. Compatibility of sections with the previous clan series.
At the moment I do not have a quote from the shop.
