Listing of lots of shows...

Law and Order canceled and Scrubs among the canceled.

V among those getting renewed.

Hard to believe after only giving Chuck 13 episodes this year, then coming back to ask for 5 more, they only ask for 13 next season. They must have a lot of faith in filling those extra 5 hours next season.

Well, I wish Heroes went out while it was strong. Every season has seemed less enjoyable than the previous. I kept hoping it would pick up again, but I guess it not.

As bad of a direction they went in the last season of Heroes, I was really hoping they would have at least one more to turn things around.
:cry

It seems like V is being given a fighting chance even though the viewership doesn't really justify it. I want to like the show. I've been trying. I wish they hadn't changed the leads from a scientist and a journalist. If the show were on NBC, you could bet it would be playing in heavy repeat on Syfy. They better find some way to play it in the off-season or I predict a short season and an early cancellation next season.

It was great. I think it's problem is that it was always tied to scrubs which died a painful death this year and dragged Ted with it.

Sounds like one of those hospital-acquired infections.

I'm surprised that Human Target got renewed. I have recently been watching through some of the Bones episodes that I TIVOed earlier this year and happened to catch an ad for Human Target. It seemed kind of interesting, actually, so now I'll get to check it out.

Also STUNNED to hear V got renewed, given what I'd heard about it here. Maybe I'll check it out.

As for the cancellations...

Law & Order...I hear they canceled the wrong one. Personally, I think SVU has gone from bad to worse to craptacular. I give it one more season. Regular L&O just sort of flamed out for me after Angie Harmon left. I hadn't watched it in years. There's only so long you can keep running that format.

Scrubs, again, from what I'd heard, was a mercy killing. Same with Heroes.

I have to say, I'm glad I never got into Heroes. What I've heard about it makes it sound like, well, the very comic books on which it's based. Great opening, and then they just keep it going for the sake of keeping it going, and end up running it into the ground.

i think the problem was that it was a little too smart for the general viewing public who are more inclined to watch something like everybody loves raymond, with the added in laugh track so you know where the funny parts are.....better off ted and community are the only two comedy sitcoms i really try to watch anymore...

heroes ended where it could have been interesting...
superheroes coming out in public...but it took too long to get there..they got way too bogged down with characters who rrived and dissapeared....storylines going nowhere.....characters getting killed....brought back.....killed again....brought back....killed.....nathan im looking at you.....:angry
if only they had a better outline laid out......oh what could have been...

but im glad to hear about human target, ive enjoyed it alot this season :thumbsup

V and flashforward i was getting into both of them, then they each had a 3-4 month break and i never got back to watching them...

I'm fairly liking "V", since they're taking the time to really build the story and characters, but dang'it, once Anna's shock troopers grow up, I better see some really cool space helmets and rayguns! :lol

L&O the past 2 seasons has been Boring, the Cops and ADA's have no chemistry or charisma. Criminal intent losing D'onofrio, Bogosian, etc. has no interest for me, SVU still sparks my interest, but I figure by next year they'll all be gone unless the writing pics up considerably, as in a miracle. Frankly CSI since William Petersen left has no interest for me. NCIS OTOH, Still damn good writing and a crew you can tell loves working together.

I had all of this seasons FlashForward episodes DVR'ed. I found out they axed it. So I deleted them. I didn't want to invest hours of my time. I can use the time to work on props.:love

I agree. V is getting good, but it's about time something happens. The 5th column seems small so the amount of warriors Anna has "should" wipe them out immediately.

Yeah, they're definitely moving toward some big stuff, we just saw the genesis of their "red dust" last week, and it looks like the persecution of the scientists is about to start, but I'm really looking forward to some cool uniforms and props- the "Evil Corporate Chic" look is getting old in a hurry! :D

Now I'm REALLY glad I didn't watch Heroes ever. It sounds exactly like the kind of standard network TV crap that pisses me off. Characters just sort of meandering aimlessly through the story, with no semblance of any overarching progression. He's dead! He's back! He's dead again! He's back again!

The same stuff that I see in comics which pisses me off (Bucky's back? Jason Todd is back?!! Who's next? Uncle Ben? Batman's parents?!!!) sounds like it happened in Heroes.

Yes Chuck! I'm not really surprised Heroes was cancelled. They screwed up a lot of people's favorite character, Peter, and the stories meandered all over the place. I wouldn't be surprised if Stargate Universe isn't renewed as well. It's a snorefest.

In regards to SGU - well, it's skiffy after all. It's gotta do better than the C and D movies they air...

Heroes - I heard that they might show two 2-hour blocks (4 episodes really) of episodes for mid season to finish up the series. Would be unusual but great - as I liked last season and would love to have some finish to the storyline of the show.

Loved Flash Forward, sorry to see it go.

Already heard about V, and like it so I am happy.

I agree Heroes just got worse every season. And the reason they had no viewers is because of these mid season hiatus crap. I can't stand watching half a season of a show and having to wait months to get the rest. I watched them all this season but only because of Claire's "love interest" Which went nowhere :lol YEAH I said it!!
