Chewbacca satchel template or pattern,looking for.

So... i was reading all theses wonderful threads and trying to figure out what prop i could start to make with the limit experiance i have and even more limited materials and resource i have in my country. i was just reading all the WIP of past and current Chewbacca suits and i thought
"The satchel!!!"
we have awesome leather there and i have work with it before!!!
so that will be the project i try!!!

I looked here and on line to see if there was any templates or patterns all ready out there. and even thou i found some pics nothing concrete as of yet.

any one know if there are patterns out there??

Just looking at the RL Chewie resources and it states:

Stuff that is still needed

1. A pattern for the pouch.
2. The exact model of two flanking scopes of the Classic Trilogy bowcaster.
3. The exact make and model of the crossbow used as the basis of the Classic Trilogy bowcaster.
4. Dimensions of the remaining unidentified bowcaster knobs, discs and dials.
5. Photos of the Gunmark Crossbow.
6. Sizing and scaling work needs to be done on the Revenge of the Sith Bowcaster.
7. The correct colors for hair purchased from National Fiber Technology.

I made one a while back just for fun and to clear out some scrap I had around. it's not perfect, but I know how hard it was finding pics to make it in the first place. I'll post what I found, what I made, and some dementions this weekend. (and if I don't, remind me - it's on the list but I don't pay enough attention to it )

Since i dont have the computer skills or software to get any HD screengrabs i did look for stuff on line, all i found were the LFL licesnced toys etc an a few bad pics, this is what i found so far!!

here's mine and the pics I found. I made it based over a store bought craft back from walmart but I think it worked. now note, it's not leather - it's like a velvet or something. but hope it helps.






if you like the dimensions of mine, its 16" wide at the top, 10" tall, 3" thick, and the strap is 64" long from ring to ring.

Here's mine. It's about 14 inches wide, 12 inches tall at the center and probably 10.5 inches tall on the sides. The flap is around 13.5 inches wide and 9.5 tall. It's a very simple item to make and you can basically eyeball the whole thing and don't need a pattern, really. Mine took maybe 90 minutes to make... in fact, the weathering took twice as long.
