Check Out My Slimer!!!

that's awesome. I remember that used to hang in middle of the XFX entry way to greet visitors coming into the building. A lot of good history behind that piece, I am glad it ended up in good hands .

Agreed.....coming from a fairly big-time GB fan, no painting.

The translucence is super-cool. B)

I think the problem isn't very visable in these pics... the trans green is all messed up with splinter cracks and massive air bubbles everywhere, doesn't look as cool in person. I like the idea of a light that would be really neat, but painted might look just as cool with the right lighting around him.

When I last visited the old (bigger) EdgeFX shop before Steve had to move I remember seeing this in person and wishing it was hanging in my little shop, well it finally has happened :D

Aye, I remember the first time I walked into the shop, saw that, and went "woah..."

It is definately a large, impressive piece. I agree, though...that clear green is kinda...off.

Good buy, good buy indeed.

That thing is freaking amazing. SWEET DUDE. I'd paint it if I owned it. So don't feel bad about not liking the clear green. GREAT PROP replica. :thumbsup

that looks super cool, maybe you could paint it with this layers of paint, just so its covered and still light it from the inside, that way it would still glow but you would have more depth to it.

does any of that make sense?

This kind of changes things, then. Cracks won't look good if they're illuminated. I'd at least try it anyway in case it's not too bad.

awesome slimer, i agree painting it is the way to go, also Nice Subaru you've got there too Howard :)

I wonder what it would look like with a blacklight on it... Might end up having the right glow (and translucence at the same time).

Dunno if blacklight would emphasize or hide the cracks though...

howard i dont know how bad it looks in person with the bubbles and cracks... but as far as what comes across in the pics... it looks like a movie still.

that thing looks great.

im with the dont paint it crowd... but like you said the defecst arent chowing up in the pics.

either way AWESOME.

When I get a chance I'll try the light to see how the cracks show-up? I'll post some shots to show how that looks ;)
