CHEAPEST Batman Costume EVER -- Tips?

What did you make the chest armor out of?

Foamies of course! (coated in plasti-dip.)

I started with a rigid cardboard skeleton, then glued the foamies onto that.

Well, I didn't get nearly as far as I'd hoped. (as always happens.)

For a one day Halloween-only costume, I'm pretty pleased. It ended up being several days work being spread out over many weeks. I ended up spending what it would've cost me to rend the grand heritage rubies costume at my local costume shop. :lol

I was wondering if you had given up. That actually turned out really well. What would you say the approximate cost ended up being? ...if you don't mind me asking.

I think it turned out great! Better than I could have done in the same time frame. Besides you don't have to return it to the costume shop or worry about what someone else did in the suit.

I was so crunched for time, I couldn't even touch waist down. (I'm going to a party, so I'm not too worried about it.)

No problem,
I never breached $100, I'm sure about that.
Something like $85 I think.
