Looking good so far, Mike. Though I wouldn't have cut off all the handle from the knife, I'd have left a little to use for attachment purposes.

Thanks for all the compliments. Syill a workin progress, but I got the blade attached to the oil bottle. Looks ok. just need to fing a "detail piece" to add to the bottom. I saw that there was comments above about leaving the handle on the knife. I wanted to, but it was way to heavy and thick.
A little insight inside the mush bucket i call a brain...
It is still moving along though. I built the pipe assebly out of some pvc parts, as soon as it drys from the base coat of paint i put on, pictures will follow!

Quick update... Since I am work, I will not be able to add any new pics until later this evening. However the Ax is about 90% done. Just need to do some final details and assemble for final paint!
I added the "soaker" detail and added the filler to keep it in place. I used quick foam for the "filler" and it really works well....just messy. luckily it trims up easily! I can't wait to get this thing done....

Alright, some updated pics. i will add the pics of how i got to this point later.

Very cool! Are you going to put a boxy vent type shape in the middle of the pole (on the original, it was a piece of a Kenner Han Solo blaster)?

Yup. gonna find something to make that. I am also going to cut some "vents" in the oil bottle, make it look a little more like the hair dryer.

Quick update. No pics yet, soon to follow. All items have been primer painted and are about ready for final assembly and paint! Looking forward to finishing this project up!

Alright, pics will be added this evening once I am home from work, but the axe turned out pretty darn good. It really completed the costume! Oh and as promised, I will include pics with the "model"
I may re-visit this piece and improve some areas, as time did not permit me to add some of the details i would have liked to. But as stated above, for under 40 bucks, I think it turned out great. :thumbsup
