Cheap Jack Sparrow sword "hilt" replica?

Does anybody know of a cheap, close-enough sword available?

OR

Does anybody know if it's possible to have a resin/whatever cast of just the hilt?
Since I need it just for my costume, and our customs usually blocks replica swords (even if they are ALLOWED, like replicas with dull blades!), I was searching a cheaper alternative to the MR one...

Any info is really appreciated!:D
Thanks

Oh, I'm an idiot!
Why I didn't think about a toy sword? It's so simple...

Thanks guys!;)

-EDIT-

WOW, $43.15 for shipping?
I have to find another shop... Maybe on eBay...

Wow, nice re-paint!

Does anybody know the name/brand of that first sword? So I could search it on the net...:)

Hey mate! There are tons of costume shops in the UK selling this sword. Do a Google search for "costume" and "UK" or "europe". This is how I found my CJS flower belt buckle on a Santa belt about 1.5 years ago before everyone started making it.

You should be able to buy one from those costume shops overseas and not pay $45.00 for shipping.

I need a sword, too. So I search ebay and on the web, but found nothing, only the NECA or the MR sword. And a real sword (replica) but it cost avout $200. Thats more than a MR or NECA sword.

So I decide to use the toysword, so can anybody give me a clue where I can get the sword in Europe?!?

Yeah, they ship international, but like Ramiel say, the shipping is very high, so I thought maybe someone got another adress...

I found some other swords, but all of them are expensiver and I dont know if they are worth the money...

Offered by a german shop "swords & more", but really expensive. For this price better get a NECA or MR sword?!?

dont know why there is no cheaper sword... Inofficial LOTR Swords you can get very cheap everywhere, but POTC... no chance...

Link to the first pic? That is a great facsimile to the Jack MR version. I am looking for a second sword but a little bit larger than the MR version. Supposedly the MR version is 10% smaller than the movie prop as is most of the MR POTC items.

This looks like the sword I used for my Captain Teague costume last Halloween; not accurate for Teague, but available and affordable. IIRC I paid around $100 USD. Unlike the MR sword replicas the blade is made from carbon steel, so I could duel with it if I so desired. ;)

Link, its the same shop. The first one is calles American Revolutionary Hanger for 159€, thats about $230, and the other one is called Pirate Captain sword for 199€ ($290). The first one is 78,4 cm long (31"), blade 62,55cm (24,63").

2nd one total: 82,55cm (32,5") and blade only: 66,04cm (26").

If I get one of those there is no scabbart and I dont know if a scabbart from ebay fits.

I still haven't s sword...

This drives me crazy, after all, I decide to get finally the sword from the piratecostume shop and pay the high shipping, to get this damn sword. But now they don't accept PayPal. :angry

So, maybe anyone got one of the sword left or know someone whos got one left or know a shop that ships interntional and accept paypal?!?

The problem is, the price of the plastic sword is great and I would purchase one, but I cant pay via credit card, because Ive got no card.

And if I want to order a "real" sword, there are no correct swords out for a good price. And if I want to get an expensive sword, I can buy here in Germany. Maybe I can save a few bucks with an international order, but IF I have to pay taxes, its the same price. And I dont know if there are any problems with the law to import a sharp sword.

So, in case anyone is still wanting cheap Jack swords, I have a super cheap way ($5 max)

I purchased a toy 'Ninja' sword, and also a toy 'Pirate' sword.

I cut the handle off the pirate one, and connected it to the ninja blade....

end result looks like this:
