Hot Dog! Been looking for one of these for the past couple years. Found one at our local Kroger store for $ 9.99.

I went to like 3 Krogers and found nothing, were they by the other Christmas decorations?

Yes, all the same, with the exception of the mini (exclusive) version available at Urban Outfitters during the 2009 Xmas season.

Can anyone tell me how big they are disassembled? I'm planning on sending one to my girlfriend in Africa for Christmas (she's going to think it's hilarious) but am wondering if it'll fit into a USPS large flat rate box (12"x12"x5") or if I'll just have to suck it up and pay for a regular box.

Box is triangular. Sides are about 5 inches wide or so and the box is around 19 inches or so long. I haven't dug mine out of the attic yet so just going off memory.

Not sure who else is selling these Ty Beanie Babies, but Walgreens has a few Peanuts characters (Snoopy and Woodstock) with clips on them. I got this one for my CB X-mas tree at the Walgreens I work at.

Should look good on the tree after I replace the plastic clip with some clear nylon thread or fishing line.

Good luck. I've run across a few versions, but none that are even close to the one in A Christmas Story. I found a nightlight, a midget leg (w/ full sized shade), and a tea light. :unsure
