A Charlie Brown Christmas Is 50 Today (12/9)

A Charlie Brown Christmas premiered this day in 1965. I saw it then and pretty much have watched it every year since. It's still the sweetest thing imaginable and as much a pillar of the season as the tree and other trappings. The urban legend is that Schulz wrote it in a single night. Don't know if it's true (doesn't matter).

Happy anniversary, Charlie Brown.

Love. holiday tradition.

I love the chopped together line reads of the kids who were clearly reading off of cards.

Thanks, Probe Droid, for the reminder. I'm gonna watch it again this year. I like to take a few years off between viewings, just to keep it a bit fresh. It's my favorite Charlie Brown show of all time!

Merry Christmas!
