Chappie Resource Thread

I just received the first batch of REJECT stickers. Mine are 1 inch x 3.5 inches. The color looks closer to safety orange in person but photographs lighter. It's hard to judge because these are gloss vinyl.

Edit:
so i tried weathering one of these stickers.
40 grit takes the gloss off pretty easy but getting the ink to fade is ridiculously hard.
In the picture starting from the left is nothing, 400 grit, 120 grit, a metal file.
These stickers are really tough.

The info here is awesome, great work everyone.
As I'm pretty skinny I'm going to try and make a Chappie suit/costume. I've planned it out roughly and I'm confident it can be done without changing the pieces too much.

So here is my mockup laser printed data plate with the reject sticker. It may be off ever so slightly but honestly, it's as close as I am likely to get until they release better source material.

This is my replica of the Tetravaal Visitors' Pass. A reporter wearing one of these can be seen with Michelle Bradley in stills from the film. I don't know if this shows up on screen. The front side is based on the auction images. The back is entirely guesswork.

The same 'assembly instructions' apply.

And now we get to the good stuff.

Here's my replica of Vincent Moore's ID tag. This is based on close-ups from the auctions and from promotional stills. Both sides should be very accurate, if I do say so myself. I do wish I had a better mug shot of Vincent, but the original props look kinda washed-out themselves.

Same assembly instructions apply.

That's the second case they've put up. The first one had some additional decals.

Wes is correct; I have positively ID'ed the Guard Key as a Logitech Mouse USB Nano Receiver.

Previously posted auction photos of one of the Guard Keys show both sides of the USB plug, and on one of them is an FCC ID number. This ID number was granted to Logitech in 2012. If these same photos show that the interior of the plug is red (and I think they do), then Weta used the black & red model. These go for about $10 on eBay.

The real trick will be making the decals.

The Guard Key cases seem to be clear Pelican 1010 micro cases.

Note the position of the Tetravaal label: covering the Pelican label.

Unfortunately, no. I can recognize the black logo on it as one from Elysium, however. "MAKAS" I think.

... At least, not until it goes up for auction.
