Here is my cosplay of Denji from Chainsaw Man! It took me about 3 months of working on it on and off to finish it, but I'm glad I took my time because I'm quite proud of the result! I wore it to the third day of Toronto FanExpo where I had the amazing experience of meeting Adam Savage and getting his autograph! He is one of my greatest inspirations, so when I saw my cosplay as the cover photo for his instagram post for that day of fanexpo, I was so happy!
As for the actual making of the helmet and chainsaw arms, I used mostly EVA foam and XPS foam. Each little chain link around the perimeter of the blades was carved by hand into ½" wide strips of EVA foam that I'd cut out of 5mm sheets. It was tedious work, but I am glad I stuck with it -- the devil is in the details!
