I guess I'm a bit slow, but I do not see the part you are referencing.

When I refer to a flash gun I mean a special effects version, not a camera version.

There is just something that bothers me about the V prop. It looks both right and wrong at the same time.

From one angle the trigger guard looks like a wrench handle. The top angle does not.
