Cellu-Clay

OK just got back from the art supply store - Cellu-Clay Im still a little confused so gunna ask here. I read a post in here somewhere that Cellu-Clay can be mixed up thicker to give you something that can be spread around and able to mold with your fingers to shape and sculpt - Guy at art supply store didn't know anything about that - go figure lol so im turning to everyone here who may have experience using this stuff.

Questions :

1) can it be mixed up thicker to be shaped and molded with fingers and/or smoothing tools.

2) can it be sanded (Smooth - Like Bondo )

3) will Cellu-Clay stick to masking tape


Bio Project Battle Plan

1) Construct bio out of foam

2) Cover foam completely with masking tape

3) Cover masking tape with Cellu-Clay

4) sand and re apply and shape if needed sand smooth

5) Primer

6) paint


Any comments or suggestions about any of this is welcome. I'm serious about this project but if from personal experience you know that this will not work or see any problems I thank you for posting and putting your input in.

I have been wanting to try something similar to what you described. What kind of foam are you talking about? Do you have any pictures of your progress you could post?
