CAT TOYS Iron Man Mk42 gauntlet

The weathered "Realistic Paint Job" version is an official Catttoys produced piece. It is only the left arm piece at present. They just came out with the right arm piece in new condition only. I am of a medium build adult, I could carefully wiggle my hand through to wear it. I ended up purchasing black long satin gloves which made it much easier to fit into the sleeve, as will protect the arm from the mechanical pop up section that can scratch/indent your skin.
I do have the second arm on order, been sitting in Chicago for 12 days getting through customs with the USPS. When it arrives, I can post a few more pictures.

Been very tempted to get the Cap helmet as well.

Ive purchased this CATTOYS Mark 42 helmet and I gotta say that this helmet is really good, especially the detail and the eye grip. But, mine has a little problem with the servo :( Can anyone purchased the same helmet take a picture of the servo and the mainboard inside please? I think mine has been set up wrong :(
Thanks for helping!

for anyone who has the gauntlet can you tell me how much space there is inside where the laser sits? enough to possibly replace the laser with a different one?

First the motherboard on the Helmet, next the gauntlet issue:

The gauntlet is a bit harder to see. There is very little room under it for anything. The forward section has a small square box that holds the laser, which is VERY bright, 100mw.
Still, you could pull it out and replace it with small missiles or other display pieces. Small is the key as the linkage presses on the arm while you wear it.

Received the second Gauntlet today. :) It is a copy of the left side down to the lasers. A great set to have.
I was thinking I would get these and build a full set of armor around them but my neck and back have been getting worse so I think I will be popping them up in the JY soon. Can't handle a full set of armor with the weight any longer. Very cool pieces to wear though. :)

The electronic features are pretty awesome:

tripoli did your Roan helmet arrive? Curious what you think. I'm in the fence between a Roan and a Cattoys.

No, the Chinese seller took the funds and ran. Had to wait for eBay and Paypal sort it out. Have not tried again for another purchase. I did get to see a Roan helment though.
The size of the Roan is slightly smaller than the Cattoys piece. The Cattoys piece had quite a bit of room, I have a 28' noggin and there was plenty of room. I could still fit well into the Roan helmet. Both have neck pieces in the back that pop on and off to allow a larger head than the neck area to fit into the helmet.
The eyes on the Cattoys looks better, but lit you can hardly see out of them. The Roan eyes have a slit at the bottom that allows you to see out when it is lit.
For serious Cosplay, I would probably go with the Roan. But as a super display piece an an occasional wear, Cattoys wins.

OOF! Sorry to hear! I bought a red bat from eBay once to add Roland's Kirk Gibson Jr Slugger decals... The Chinese seller sent me an unpainted bat, and had the audacity to say I sent him pictures of another bat. All for a $20 item..

Anyway, thanks for the feedback! I was leaning toward the Cattoys version for those reasons (it will be a display piece mainly, and an occasional wear piece so I can plop it on guests' heads when they visit). I also love the remote control feature.

Now to find a reliable eBay seller...

I can vouch for the Roan Mark 43 helmet. I ordered it for a photo shoot I had a few weeks ago and it was great! Everything I read said the paint job was superior to the Cattoys but that it ran a little smaller and the vision was way worse. While vision is pretty much non-existent, surprisingly it fit my big head. So that was a pleasant surprise.

And the paint job matched perfectly with my R.A.W./IM Nation suit. Truly beautiful.

I'll see if I can post some photos later today.

Am I sucker because I still like how the cattoys has a remote? Although I got the cattoys gauntlet and the servo barely works so I'm hesitant to get the helmet from them now. KGHobby is being a pain about exchanging it too :/

Has anyone purchased the metal Cattoys helmet with remote faceplate? This one seems awesome but the paint job looks fragile. Their own images seem to show chips.

Yeah, I have it. ShowZ has the best price for $320.

It's awesome since it's metal. But you're right about the paint. Mine's not too bad with chips, but it does have several minor ones. It's not clear coated and is prone to chipping. The magnets on the backplate weren't attached attached so I had to glue them on. Then the tab on the backplate broke off since it's tricky to put on your head. Had to glue that back on, too.
The gold on the faceplate is more of a yellow and doesn't look great. It has a kind of powdercoated finish.

I have a big head and can't put it on with the battery compartment inside. I have to let it dangle down my back. The padding inside is very cushiony but I can't get the backplate on. I have to replace it with very thin foam.

Also, you'll have to buy 18650 batteries.

I have the MK 46 one pre ordered from Dimension Studio. It's ABS but has the best paint job I've seen on any IM helmet. The MK 42 is out now.

Thanks for the info! Is the MK 46 you speak of the same that Patch Store is offering? It looks really great. I'd love to have a metal helmet but I might have to go for the ABS with a great paint job.

Yeah, same one. Supposedly it's going to have Friday sound effects, which the 42 doesn't.

Does anyone have the MK 42 helmet if so how do you rate it and has anyone had dealing with The Pach Store? Are they reliable?
