here in a bit I will be casting some flex-foam 3. I am using a plaster mold would. vaseline work as a releasing agent? if not are their any other options on the cheap side?

It's possible...the wisest thing to do would be to mix up a small amount of foam and pour it onto a piece of test plaster that you have rubbed vaseline on. If it doesn't work, then at least you aren't scraping it out of the mold.

If it doesn't work, then you will need something like this http://www.cosplaysupplies.com/store.php?p=KR8140 It's what I use on the dreads, albeit in silicone molds. I know it works on plaster too, but you will need to apply a few coats.

I figured it would be a good a idea for a test run to see how it would work

Thanks for the link that might just come in handy

Macwax is one of the best sealers, sometimes vaseline does weird things, and macwax spray goes quite a long way

I read somewhere not sure of the site right now that a wax based spray should be sufficient. so if all fails I will try something else, thanks for the help
