is the emitter plate really that thick on this prop? I'm looking at your V2..even without the slight bevel that looks different - not sure if its just part of the prototype!
 
It's just the lens distortion making it look bigger in that shot. Here's a more up close look

Dan that is 3D printed? If so is it 3D printed in metal?

Looks good Dan, but they may have softened the edges a little too much. If I have followed correctly; a 3D print was used, then cast, and then cleaned up. What if the 3D print is cleaned up then cast? No matter what I want some of these, just asking the question now instead of later.
