Casablanca Props

I never picked up the book, "Casablanca: As Times Goes by : 50th Anniversary Commemorative", but the 70th Anniversary Blu-Ray Boxed set from 2012 includes a similar book. In fact, it's probably the same book, just smaller and in a different format.
I believe this is the "Letters of transit" or at least one of them:

From what I remember, the original prop was larger than the standard 8.5" x 11". It may have been printed on 11" x 17" paper or a similar size from Europe.

There are definitely at least two very different Letters of Transit shown in the film, one as shown above and another with a different layout with a large stamped "ETAT FRANCAIS" on it. For our prop set, we've made one of each:

this shown is the blanco Letter of Transit, so Rick, Elsa, or Victor could write their name in, to leave Casablanca without any problems.

These are the surviving movie prop letters, but not the screen used ones!
On screen you can see there is a stamp on the right top when the letter gets personalized.

You're right it seems to be my mistake. I fixed it.
But if you see the entries of travel in the original Victor Laszlo passport prop, there are the dates in the year 1942 ???? I'm confused

Yes, I see it, now. There's the one letter of transit and the other one is in the hands of the actor in the upper right-hand corner. In the photo of Rick, he's also holding the same letter of transit.

here is another copy of a surviving prop letter of transit.
It seems to be the one, Ilsa used to come to Casablanca, because her name has been written on it?

It's issued by the POLICE GENERAL DE FRANCE in Paris 1940, and twice signed by General De Gaulle.
It has a large stamp OFFICIEL on the right top side and not a stamp Etat Français.
The other Letter of Transit, which Rick shows in one scene, has been issued by the Secreteriat D' Etat A La Guerre and has not been signed by General De Gaulle.

Do be careful with the spelling of ``Français`` the c should be with the ``cédille`` under: ç

but you need this on your keyboard, too.
On the original paper props the "cédille" is also missing, but we're talking about screen accurate movie props here.

Indeed. If you could select the language on your keyboard, it would be useful of course. As for Hollywood respecting spelling in different languages It`s often a ``hit and miss`` kinda thing. Lots of French actors in this movie could`ve said to production that the spelling was wrong...but too late into the process; everything was already printed I`m afraid. Now it`s the time to make it right

I've got the right spellings on my papers and passports, but it's not screen accurate or an 1:1 copy of the original prop paperworks.
Same with the original German Paperworks in Indiana Jones. All a crap with misspellings and senseless writings, but used that way in the original movie, so the first thing here is to build a replica of an original paperwork and maybe a corrected and authentic paperwork then!
