Casablanca Props

I just use the ascii code. ç is Alt135. Of course, the original prop makers would have needed a French typewriter to type it.
Just set the required language on your keyboards. A list where to find the special letters on your keyboard you can find in the internet.
You also can use google translator and copy and paste the wanted special letter into your document ;)

You`re right about the way some prop makers will apply text on certain paper prop. Most of the time, on screen, nobody will bat an eye (just looking at the instructions on the Panam food tray from 2001 A Space Odyssey is a clear example of gibberish).
Problem is that, now with screen caps we can really see the spelling problems or the said gibberish. I`m with you concerning the accuracy of the original paper props with warts and all;)...and another set with the proper language being used(y)

Here's what I have (thank you Rene for sharing the Letter of Transit)

I did some research on the Vichy bottle. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell from the B&W photos what the exact color is, but the replicas all appear to be a dark green, so I used a basic wine bottle that had a cork in it:

Warm water with about 5 tablespoons of baking soda helped to remove the original label.
Now I did find a vintage water bottle from France that was actually a bright green color (similar to modern water bottles today) and I'm suspicious that the original bottle may have been this same color, but again, without a color photo, we won't know for sure.

Awesome thread :) Does anybody know if there is a consensus on the size of these lovely props?

Letters of Transit - I've seen some saying it's legal sized, some larger, some smaller, etc.
Letters of Transit Envelope - I have no idea
Ricks check - from my Photoshop guesstimates, it appears to be around 3" x 6" ?
Elsa's Goodbye letter - appears much smaller than usual US letter, maybe 5x7?
Vichy Label - no idea, may just have to be sized by eye to whatever bottle I can track down.
Passports - There's quite a lot of info out there on the real ones but I havent got that far yet.

Any info or direction is much appreciated, Cheers.
