Carnor Jax Helmet WIP

Basically just added the top ridge and the "nose" ridge, for lack of a better term. I just kind of made the nose piece about the size I thought it should be since most of the pics I've seen weren't drawn that well and it was hard to see exactly how big it should be. This is the best one I've seen:

It's still got some more work needed, but what do you think so far? Once this is done, I can finally get on to the Senate Guard. :thumbsup

Sweet. Size is looking perfect, no worries there. I'm pretty well-acquainted with this comic and I am more than pleased with your progress. I'll be watching for that senate guard helm. PM me if you want the perfect add-on for the outfit

Thank you for doing this. It was to my chagrin to realize that Carnor Jax has yet to be realized correctly in the 501st Legion. I have only seen one other gentleman ever complete this mod which you are progressing on so nicely.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the compliments, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately my friend wants to paint it so I won't be able to show a finished one. I didn't know if I'd have any responses since the character isn't extremely well known. Is there a market for this? I wasn't sure, but if there is I can make a mold, no problem. I may go ahead and post a thread in the JY and see.

I added some resin and mat mixed up together to the visor area before I trimmed it, cut the shape out, sanded and filled any imperfections. Same basically on the ridge on top. It's plenty strong if that's what your wondering. Plus, if I do mold it, it will be a seamless part of each helmet.

... that is, unless I make a mold and make some more to paint. I'll see how it looks and if I can get pics after my friend paints it. He's supposed to be pretty good, but I've never seen his work. *Crosses fingers*

Whoa... Nice Bucket... I'd love to put together a Carnor Jax outfit. I see you didn't get enough interest to make a run , but if you ever do, please keep me in mind. Any thoughts on ever doing his armor as well?

Thanks. Well, it turns out that I'm going to make a few after all, so if you'd like, PM me. I don't have any plans on doing the armor, but I believe Jumpin Jax, who posted above, has made some. Drop him a line.
